Believe In Your Dreams and Don’t Let Anything Get in Your Way

Posted by admin on Oct 02 2014 | Make Money

A few weeks ago my wife and I watched a film called Saving Mr. Banks. I don’t know whether you have seen it. It starred Tom Hanks as Walt Disney and Emma Thomson as P L Travers, the author of the book Mary Poppins.

The story is a biographical comedy drama about Walt Disney’s attempt to buy the screen rights to the book.

The P L Travers character is depicted as a “straight-laced” English woman who is reluctantly persuaded to visit the Disney studios in California to discuss the making of her book into a movie. When she arrives, there is a huge culture clash between the formal world that she is used to and more relaxed world of the Disney studios where everyone is referred to by their first names.

The story is set in the 1960’s and as it unfolds, it alternates between the author’s childhood in Australia and the two-week visit to the Disney studios.

Initially, P L Travers is adamant that the film shouldn’t be a musical and mustn’t have any animation in it. She insists on vetting the scripts and changing parts that she doesn’t like. Much to the frustration of Walt Disney and his staff.

Things come to a head one day and without signing the contract, P L Travers decides that she has had enough and flies back to London.

A few hours after arriving back, Walt Disney turns up on her doorstep. He tells her that it has been his dream for many years to make Mary Poppins into a movie ever since he read the book to one of his daughters when she was a little girl.

He goes on to tell her that he had promised his daughter that one day he would make a movie of the book and he never liked to go back on a promise.

Eventually he convinces P L Travers to sign the contract and as they say, the rest is history!

So why I am telling you this?

Well this is a great example of determination and overcoming obstacles to realize a dream. Disney had been trying for years to obtain the screen rights to Mary Poppins. Through sheer persistence, he eventually got the author to visit his studios, but things still didn’t go as he anticipated.

At that stage he could have just given up and said “it’s too difficult, what’s the point.”

But instead he caught the next available flight to England and convinced P L Travers that it would be a good idea to make the film and that the characters that were so precious to her would be depicted in a good light.

On my office wall I have a quotation by Thomas Edison it says;

“Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up”

It is said that Thomas Edison tried over 2000 times to make a working electric light bulb. He was convinced that there was an answer to the problem.

He didn’t view these unsuccessful experiments as failures but as 2000 ways NOT to make a light bulb.

The point that I am trying to make is, if you have a dream, whatever that might be, don’t let setbacks and problems defeat you. Keep your dream alive and find ways to overcome the problems along the way.

It will be worth it in the end!

Hi, I’m Bernard Richards, I’m a Business Advisor and online business owner. If your dream is to start your own business and you would like to find out more about starting a business online, go to for more information and tips.

The Next 100 Billion Dollar Business? The Simple Authority Site Secret That Will Make You Rich

Posted by admin on Oct 02 2014 | Internet and Businesses Online

Who else is sick and tired of trying to get rich online with gimmicks, gadgets and guru’s? Think that little known marketing “secret” or underground trick or technique is going to make you wealthy? Have you convinced yourself that selling ClickBank eBooks, or affiliate programs is going to allow you the sort of lifestyle you truly deserve? Or, maybe like I once did long ago… You think that you are going to earn REAL wealth with a personal blog that details your entrepreneurial rags to riches journey and inspire millions on your way to the top of the mountain?

Think again.

The truth is, you have more of a chance, statistically… earning a 6 figure salary in a real world, conventional career, than you would trying or applying any of the ideas above in the online entrepreneurial space.

But… Before you think I’m suggesting you give UP on your online entrepreneurial aspirations, I’m not. Instead, I want to share a few very simple inspired ideas that have worked wonderfully well for me, as well as thousands of other real world entrepreneurs who are doing what we love for a living. (many of whom, have turned the simple ideas below into multi million or even multi BILLION dollar business to boot)

Curious to know more? Continue reading as we take a quick look at a few simple rules that WILL transform your brand, blog, business and bank account… immediately below.

Rule #1: BUILD Something

98% of the online entrepreneurs I meet are always trying to sell something. Whether it’s an affiliate product, or a coaching course, or even an inexpensive eBook… That model may offer a slender shred of quick success, but it’s not a viable way to build enduring value.

Building something, instead of selling something, is a far better long term strategy for not only creating real wealth for yourself, but building real value in your niche, market or industry as well.

Consider THIS for a moment.

AIRBNB is forecast by some high dollar investors (including one of the founders of PayPal, Peter Thiel) as the next 100 BILLION dollar business. It was started by a few average people on a bootstrap budget, and has grown into THE authority site in the “affordable alternative to hotel” travelers space.

Kickstarter, another offbeat idea for creating a community platform for PASSION and purpose based professionals to share their flare with the world, has become the LARGEST source of funding for ordinary people with extraordinary inspired ideas, funding 100s of millions of dollars and counting.

The chances that you or I am going to create the next AIRBNB or Kickstarter? Not great.

But, the chances that you or I can launch a similar style site that is an “authority” in a smaller niche, market or industry that we care about, or have passion for, and that can earn hundreds of thousands of profit, or be valued at 6 or even 7 figures or more in a reasonably short time?

Pretty darn good… Especially if you scale this strategy across multiple markets.

For example?

You can create an entire business that emulates an AIRBNB style model, for under $100… with killer templates, premium plugins and simply follow their blueprint for success. It doesn’t have to be real estate, you can create a search engine that matches consumers from the public, with professionals that have something specific to offer and need to be found, in just about any niche under the sun.

You can create a directory site. You can create a local marketplace. You can create a social network in your niche, market or industry of choice, using FREE plugins like Buddypress, and position yourself as the thought leader, authority or go to expert.

Maybe your passion is online business or entrepreneurialism or helping other professionals build BUZZ for their own blogs, brands or business? You can create a job board, a classified site, a local news magazine, a marketing forum, or even a crowd funding community… And literally, build an entire online “agency” with high dollar offers behind it, simply because you’ll be looked at as the brains behind the scene.

The truth is, this approach takes a little bit more work… And a little bit more effort overall. But believe it or not, it’s EASY to do, a whole lot of fun, and a great way to offer genuine value to others while doing what you love for a living!

Why Google Wants to See Diversity and Personality in Applications

Posted by admin on Oct 02 2014 | Technology

Creative CV Google submissions are on the rise as more and more people from all facets of the tech and information industry try to gain a position with the company. Making sure you have a creative resume Google package ready to go when a position comes up can put you ahead of the other candidates. When you are starting to put together your creative presentation, remember that Google wants to see diversity and personality in their applications.

It isn’t just what people think they want

The call for an emphasis on diversity and personality isn’t an industry interpretation of Google’s hiring trends; it is what Google has come straight out and said it wants to see in an application. The movie, “The Internship,” was a comedic take on the competition for a coveted internship with Google, but it was a fairly accurate portrayal of the kind of innovative thinking and approach they are looking for in their employees. Google isn’t looking for employees that can help them do what they already are doing; they are looking for employees who will be able to step forward with them into the future.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of using a website as a cover letter?

While any application is going to need a cover letter before your resume and CV, how you present the information to Google is where you can begin to take control of the process. There are several benefits, and disadvantages to using a website as your covering letter.

• Advantage - You get to showcase your skills with presentation and packaging that allow you to present your qualifications in a more engaging manner.
• Advantage - Your site can be seen by other companies that may be compatible to your stated goals.
• Advantage - It gives you a chance to “show, not tell” about your real skills in the same environment you want to work in.
• Disadvantages - It can be hard to stand out among the millions of websites to be noticed.
• Disadvantages - You don’t have control over when the company will review your site, if they ever do.
• Disadvantage - It limits the specificity of the information you can put out about your skills and qualifications due to privacy issues and non-disclosure agreements you to which you may be subject.

Which do you send in first?

When you are getting ready to apply it is very important that you read the application requirements first. The listing will say in what order they wish to receive your information. If you are angling for a position that isn’t being advertised, a creative CV Google submission to the appropriate department manager is your best route. Follow this up with your creative resume Google will want after you have piqued their interest. Don’t send references, but offer them upon request. It should go without saying that you should have a full and complete personal page and profile on G+ too. Make sure you are “googlable” before you send any hard copy or emails - after all, remember who you are applying to for a position.

Can you use the same CV for other companies?

The nature of the Internet is that nothing is private. While that usually isn’t a good thing, this is the one case where you will appreciate that your CV is out there and on display for other companies to see. There are many creative examples of dynamic, web-based CVs online that showcase the person in the technological environment they thrive in. It can also work to your advantage because it will make your target company aware that you are serious about gaining a position and they have to act fast

Online advertising through platforms such as Google AdSense allows you to earn revenue by allowing advertisements on your blog or website. All that you need to do is to ensure that more people keep visiting the site so that they may feel tempted to click on the ads. By doing this alone, you will have a paycheck for as long as you want.

Develop an online course

A large number of people who look for information online will always want to learn more. You can tap into this opportunity by developing a paid course so that they can take it as you earn money. As long as the course is relevant and useful, you can be sure that it will keep attracting new learners for a long time. Great Ways to Earn Passive Income

Posted by admin on Oct 02 2014 | Make Money

Creative passive income streams may not necessarily mean that you need to quit from your current job. The truth is that many people from all over have various ways of generating an extra or side income in addition to what they earn monthly or weekly. The little extra income one can get helps a lot in various issues such as paying for bills, food, gas, debt, clothes and many others things. The following are some of the ways one can use to earn a passive income.

Affiliate marketing

This means that you sign up with a certain entrepreneur or company and sell their products. An example is that if you begin a tech website, you may become an affiliate of anti-virus or a web hosting company. This can help you to earn many dollars each month if your website gets a decent number of traffic and also gets many email subscribers. It just needs time and dedication for one to become an affiliate marketer. Your job will be to build traffic through your website, social media and email marketing.

Start a freelance job

This is one of the jobs where one becomes his or her own boss. You can start this side job while you are still a full-time employee elsewhere. An example is if you are a web or graphic designer, you can begin your own web or graphic design business as a part-time job. It is also advisable for one to seek for advice from those who do what you would like to do so that you can interview them and get some ideas.

Network marketing

Multi-level marketing or network marketing is among the most famous passive incomes streams. Once you join a network marketing company, you become part of the team. However, you should join a team with good leadership as it will help you earn more than that with poor leadership. Always make sure that you have enough time to carry out your projects in a great way.

Annuities, bonds, stocks and others are among the great ways one can use to earn passive income. You may need to seek for advice from a financial advisor especially if you are not financially savvy. You can even decide to attend some finance classes so as to understand what your advisor will tell you.

Real estate

This includes flipping and fixing houses. For one to do this, you will need capital in form of credit or cash. Attend bid on houses and housing actions and you may be lucky to get them with a good price. Hire for a contractor to come and fix up both inside and outside to make it look awesome. You can then sell it and make a good profit. Another option you can make is to become a real estate agent. Talk to seasoned realtors and investors so as to find out more about this passive income stream. This will help you to know if it is the right one for you.

Other ways include royalties, participating in paid focus groups and surveys, flea markets and many others. In conclusion, the above methods are very effective when it comes to earning passive income. You can try them and surely they will work out fine for you.

Which Topics Pay High in Google Adsense Program?

Posted by admin on Apr 13 2012 | AdSense

As the importance of blogging (making money online) is increasing, there are many people searching for the following queries

  • best adsense niches that pay high
  • top paying adsense niches
  • list of adsense categories that pay high

Even I used to search for these queries in my beginning days of blogging. So I thought of sharing the list of high paid niches for Google Adsense. The list is completely based on my experience in Blogging & Adsense (since 4 years) as well as few advices from fellow bloggers.

  1. Health: Weigh Loss & Fitness, Anti-aging, Cancer, Dentistry and Orthodontics
  2. Insurance: Car and auto insurance, Health and Medical Insurance
  3. Computers & Internet: Computer Hardware, Computer Repairs, PC and Internet Security, Dedicated Hosting, ISP and Networking, Online Degree, SEO software and tools, Web Development, Stock Broking
  4. Banking and Finance: Loans and Mortgage, Credit and Finance, Debt consolidation
  5. Legal representation: Searches for attorney increased the bidding rate for this niche
  6. Digital Photography: digital photography schools, certificate, digital photography education, Careers in photography
  7. Psychotherapy: We can include this category in health, but i think it is best to treat this as a different niche as it gives more adsense revenue as a separate site.
  8. Real Estate: A damn good niche for getting good adsense income. Google pays nice price for clicks on these Real Estate related ads.
  9. Consumer Electronics: Gadgets, Mobiles and many other Electronic devices
  10. Antiques and Collectibles: Another good niche to choose for getting high adsense income.
  11. Dating: There are Lots of lonely hearts out there and the online dating sites are willing to pay more money to find them.

I know what you’re thinking now! Start blogs in all niches and receive huge sum of money from Google Adsense! Right?

That’s really a wrong idea. If you do so, you’ll definitely feel bored of blogging in a matter of days. Only chose the niche that interests you. It is always advisable to blog on your interests rather than writing just for money. Because, you can write valuable and quality content if the topic you chose is of your interest. Or-Else you have to suffer from poor quality content which in turn affects your visitors as well as the income from Adsense.

So, my advice is choose a niche that interests you, Write Quality Content, Optimize your website for Search Engines using SEO and then boom.. Your website will receive high paid ads thus resulting in good Adsense Revenue.

Thanks for Reading this..
Happy Blogging :)

Five Reasons Your Company Needs A Solid SEO Plan

Posted by admin on Mar 27 2012 | Search Engine Optimization

Here’s the major reason that your company needs a solid SEO plan: profitability. Search Engine Optimization is just another way of marketing. If you don’t market a product, you can’t expect name recognition or sales to come pouring in. Most people surfing online go to search engines to find information or new products. Without a decent search engine ranking, your site, and products, will be passed over time and again.

There are five core reasons that SEO is important, all of which can help a business’s profit margin. Let’s begin with what is the basis of SEO marketing: content. The idea of providing unique content is so that the site becomes a trusted resource on a set of topics. So how does content help profitability?

First is search engine ranking. Search engine spiders love content. If the content matches the HTML title tag, an important optimization technique, and the content contains common keywords plugged into a search engine, there will be more opportunities for the site to land in the top listings of search results. Providing quality, targeted content will draw in potential customers looking specifically for what you have to offer.

Driving traffic has a two-fold purpose. Not only does a content-rich site help search engine results, but the content will leave a lasting impression on visitors. Imagine a site that’s in the top three results that provides no useful information. Traffic can be useless if the site doesn’t have some sticking power. Web surfers will come back to the site time and again. SEO will lead to both new and repeat visitors. Inspiring repeat visitors is reason number two for a solid SEO plan.

An offshoot of this is number three: referrals. The more content-rich your site, the more you’ll be able to get referrals. Web surfer one goes to a site and finds useful information, he then refers web surfer two—it’s a type of traffic that works independently of search engines, the basis of viral marketing. Part of SEO is providing an easy way for people to refer other web surfers, possibly with a reward system.

Fourth is linkbait. Again, this has two purposes. Quality content can lead to other sites linking to the original article. This will both drive traffic from the linking site, as well as help elevate search engine ranking. Search engine spiders love relevant links.

The final way SEO is useful is general: it improves the site. A website is a form of advertising–it represents the company. A site should be feature-rich and informative in order to increase brand recognition and ensure repeat visitors. Too often, website owners are caught up in how to “fool” search engine spiders. You might fool a spider, but you’ll rarely fool an actual web surfer. SEO should be about providing a content-heavy site that will become a trusted resource in your industry.
